some information that should be added to the TEST area

... used the following to get this:

vi (this file)

git init # initialise a git folder

git checkout -b main

git add fender.md # registers this file to be included in a commit

git commit -m "first commit" # sealing the box

git remote add origin ssh://git@config.tombstones.org.uk:22022/dave/experiments.git # point to the "sending destination"

git push -u origin main # "deliver" the package

now.. if you set a default branch with:

git push --set-upstream origin main

.... then you can just use:

git push # deliver to the main post office
